1. What do you write, and how did you come up with this name?
My graffiti name.. hahaha! It’s a long stupid and boring story, it came up after a night in the disco with my homies when I was 18. -Phiesta
2. Are you from any crews?
Yes: CSF crew.
3. How long have you been writing?
I think 9 years now.
4. What country are you from?
I’m from the city of Rome in Italy.
5. Do you remember how you got started?
Yes, I made the first piece of my life just for friendship with my homies. I remember I did a simple silver piece in the place where we were chilling. I wrote WEST SIDE because we loved gangster rap.
6. What makes you keep going?
I still paint first because I love it and it makes me feel good and second for the fame and glory.
7. Describe your style in one word.
8. Pieces, Throw Ups or Tags?
Pieces, on panels first.
9. Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus or Rihanna?
I don’t follow any of them but I saw a concert with Eminem and Rihanna, so Rihanna.
10. What are you trying to gain from doing Graffiti?
Nothing in particular, in the graffiti game nobody makes enough money to live their life. That is why I tattoo hahaha.
11. Are you in it for the fame?
For the fame for sure, I think every serious writer does graffiti for this. The good thing is that doing graffiti is cool and makes you feel free from the scheme of society.
12. Do you consider Graffiti – Art or Vandalism?
For me, it is both. In my case sometimes I feel like an artist, sometimes a criminal hahaha. It’s an equilibrium of art and vandalism. A good writer should have skills and talent mixed to madness.
13. Who is your favorite writer of all time?
I don’t have one favorite writer. I follow some guys that have influenced me since I started with graffiti, but I don’t like to mention their names.
Surely some pioneer American from the 80’s and years ago I was inspired by the Australian and New Zealand writer.
14. Favorite crew of all time?
TATS, SUK, TMD
15. Who comes first, hoes or bros?
I’m one of the few that puts brothers first. The bad thing of every writer today is that every one of them wants to get the top in every way: false friendship, false followers on Instagram, sponsored page on Facebook hahaha.
I see on Instagram writers less famous than me in reality, but they have way more followers and likes than me. Who knows why? Maybe some stupid application for toys (like4like) can explain this shame.
16. Favorite paint brand?
Molotow and Montana
17. What country would you like to paint in that you haven’t already and why?
I’d like to paint in New Zealand, Canada, Russia, and in North Europe. I have never painted there. I’ve already painted in New York and it was amazing, I love painting in that magnificent city!
I’ve also painted in Paris (France) and in Barcelona (Spain). In Italy, I have painted in every major city and jam.
18. What is your favorite part of being a Graffiti writer?
The life style I think. Change the night with the day hahaha. I started with hip hop since 98, I remember listening and buying rap CDs. Then the passion for graffiti started and I fell in love.
19. What do you hate about Graff?
I repeat I hate the fact that you can never find a real friend or brother in the graffiti world because every writer wants to have their own career in every way possible.
If you are famous every writer wants to paint alongside you just for the pic just to say “I am cool, I painted with Mr. Success.” Yet the next day everyone goes their own way. I don’t like this, I am for real friendship.
20. Any advice for new writers?
Don’t use the Internet as your guide for Graffiti culture. Buy books, travel as much as possible, and do your own thing while taking in some influences, but completely re-elaborate.
The real fame is not social networks, it is the respect and admiration that every real writer shows you in real life (at jams, in the street.)
21. Any last words or shout outs?
I wanna give a big up to my family, my new born princess BEA, my love EMY, my homies all over the world: Brus, Howen, Trota, Marte, Omsk, Soten, Zombie, Money, Hoacs, Dave Foto, Rath, Sher, Berst, Take2, and many others.
Peace to all of you and we have to do something positive for the planet, not the bullshit that we are doing every day.
